   I regretfully have to report that FRANKIE "BAM" MYERS did indeed STEAL my $1100.00 digital multitrack recorder, my $250.00 double bass drum pedal, and many other items of mine, my neighbors, and my friends (Bam ... Joel (the drummer at the beach) said that he wanted me to have that pedal because of how he and I had helped each other in the past ... that is why he traded it for the original bass pedal that I had purchased to go with the drum set).  I hate to say that anyone is a thief especially someone that I considered a friend but Bam has turned out to be a flagrant and extreme case.

I bought Bam's food, let him live at my house for free and use everything of mine just as if it were his, of course I paid all the bills and bought all the supplies. I gave Bam money to send back to his wife and kids. I even gave him $700 to spend on his kids to buy them Christmas presents so that they could have a merry Christmas and let him drive my car back to his home so that he could spend Christmas with his family.  So how does he repay me for all that I did for him ... by stealing my valuable equipment and coming up with some shameless lying cock and bull story about how I owed him the money that I gave him to help him out. I mean the guy really has no shame at all. He once told me that he could get along anywhere by "hustling". I did not know that "hustling" meant being just a low life common thief  and stealing from everyone that lived around you but my neighbors and I all found out the hard way how he continually stole from everyone. The thieving started right after he moved into my house and all my neighbors started coming to me and telling me how Bam was stealing from them. Since I considered him a friend I, of course, defended him and told my friends and neighbors that there was no need for him to steal as I was paying all his bills, giving him money to spend on himself and send back to his wife and kids, and buying all the food and supplies as I let him live in my house and run my studio and make whatever money that he could off of it. When all my neighbors started complaining about his thieving ... he called the local representative of the NAACP and had him over to my house and was telling him how people were discriminating against him and that he wanted to bring some sort of legal case against the town or something of the sort. All this to cover his stealing and lying and deceptions.  

   I have to conclude now, after looking back on everything, that Bam must have really had a lot of previous practice at conning people, lying, stealing, and other sorry endeavors (in the meantime, others who also had known him and had been close to him have contacted me and informed me this was the way that he had become ... just a low level petty con and thief who would steal from those closest to him in a flash). I was the one who held out and defended him when everyone else was trying to warn me but in the end he pulled his main low life stunt and robbed me as his final act when he was leaving. This after all that I had done for him.

There is no telling what stories he is telling about how he got the equipment and goods that he blatantly stole from me and my neighbors but, rest assured ... not only did NOT ONE PERSON owe him a cent ... but everyone went out of their way to help him and try to make him welcome before we all finally had to just face the fact that he had no character or principles and was just playing a game and smiling and lying as he robbed us all on an ongoing basis. I know that I gave him probably over $2000 in cash alone  ... not to mention all the bills, food, living expenses, EVERYTHING !   And then he turns around and not only continually robs me ... but all my friends and neighbors as well. That was something that only the very lowest type of sorry people would be shameless enough to do. People that have sunk that low and make it their way of life to live like that almost never change. So if you encounter Bam ... you have been warned ... keep your eyes open and don't turn your back or you will end up being robbed just as I was and all my friends and neighbors were.

  I also regret that I now have to call my attorneys in Charlotte once again and have criminal charges filed against Bam for larceny. I have also been advised that subpoenaes to appear in court will be issued to his close associates and family members who may be able to shed light on his whereabouts and the whereabouts of the equipment that he stole from me and transported across state lines. I have also been advised to file civil charges against him in order to collect the over $1000 that I lent him to buy Christmas presents for his children and on numerous other occasions. I had never planned to even ask for this money back but I will go after anybody who steals from me with every resource that I have. If I have to spend $1000 in order to collect $100 from someone who steals from me I will GLADLY do it. It is a matter of principle with me. Rest assured that I already have the information and means to settle this matter legally right now. I so wanted to give Bam the benefit of the doubt but it has now become blatantly obvious (after him avoiding any contact with me for over two months now) that he intended to steal this valuable equipment from me all along and had no intentions of returning it. I find this incredible since I had paid all the bills, bought the food, gave Bam money time and time again and gave him a cell phone and paid for all his calls for 4 months. At least by letting him use my cell phone for 4 months I have the records for every call that he made or received during his stay in my house in Atlantic Beach. I have the number, location, and (in most cases) the name of the person who he called or who called him. I also have many addresses and email addresses. This is where the investigations and subpoenaes will start. The most frequent calls to the Charlotte and Pageland areas will be contacted by law enforcement and detectives first and the trail will be followed from there. I do very much regret this as I believe that Bam's family members are good, hard-working honest folk like my folks are. But I tell you this ... I will get back what is mine and I will use any means to do it.  I only hope that those honest folk will realize that I have no choice but to do this. Thank heavens there are no thieves in my family but if there were and one of the people that they had stolen from contacted me or had me subpoenaed in order to try to recover what they had worked for and had been stolen from them, I would understand. I might be angry but I would be angry at the thief ... not the honest person who had his property taken by the thief.

   This is a very clear cut case here. Bam asked me if he could borrow my digital recorder for 4 days in order to help his son mix down some of his tracks. I reluctantly told him that he could but I told him to guard my recorder with his life since it was my most valuable piece of recording equipment and I needed it to record my own originals. He told me that he would and would return it to me in 4 days when he returned to go to work in New Orleans with Jay. Well, after a week went by and Bam had made no attempt to even call me I called his brother Daryl in Charlotte who told me that Bam was working in New Orleans with Jay. I then told Daryl that I had just talked with Jay in New Orleans and that Jay had neither seen nor heard from Bam. Now I knew that I was getting the 2-bit BS and runaround. I decided to post the web site below and call my attorneys in Charlotte and tell them to prepare to file charges if and when I gave them the word. They told me that it would be an easy case for the DA to prosecute and that if enough pressure were to be brought against those who were in position to know Bam's whereabouts via subpoenaes and detective visits everything could be resolved in short order. They also advised me to go after the money that I loaned him that he skipped out on via the civil court. I decided to do this since he had decided to steal what was mine. I also decided to give him 30 days and post the web site below to try to get him to contact me and return what was mine and save himself and those close to him a lot of trouble.    Well, I had a heart attack shortly thereafter and it has taken me a couple of weeks to get back to full strength but I now have a "fire to my tail" (so to speak) to make sure that Bam does not succeed in stealing what is mine. There have been a number of good people who know Bam that have contacted me about this matter through the email address below and I appreciate the information that they have given me but I still do not have my recorder and my drum pedal. SO ... I will now have to call my lawyers in Charlotte and tell them to go ahead and contact law enforcement and file every charge possible and also to go ahead and issue every subpoena that is appropriate in solving these civil AND criminal cases and having that which is rightfully mine returned to me.

   I tried to avoid this because I know that it is going to cause Bam and his family and those close to him a lot of grief and trouble. I just wish that he had enough character to contact me and return what was mine but he has decided that he can somehow get away with stealing from someone who trusted him and tried to help him in every way that he could. I can only imagine that if he would steal from me that he ... well ... I guess that is why the police in Atlantic Beach are showing up at his former friends' houses looking for him. There have also been larceny charges filed against him down here at the beach by those that I defended him so vigorously against while he was here ... now I look like a fool since he decided to steal from me as well. Everybody is telling me "I TOLD YOU SO" ... "I told you he was a thief". And to think how I told all of them that I had known him for 20 years and that he was of good stock and was honest and wouldn't never steal.

   Anyway ... I have given Bam enough time to contact me and return what was mine. It has now become obvious that he has no intention of returning what is mine and I am regretfully forced to do what is necessary to make sure that he does not make me a fool. My Father always told me that a thief was the worst thing in the world because, not only did they take what you had worked hard to earn but they also took you for a fool in that they thought that they could get away with it. I will use every resource that I have to get back what is mine. My lawyers tell me that it will be easy and I hope it will be. I just hope that Bam will do the right thing and not cause his family members to be subpoenaed and brought into this sorry business in order to resolve the case. I know that they are good folks because several of them tried to contact me when I was in intensive care in the hospital with my heart attack in order to try and resolve this matter. I will call them back now that I am back on my feet and hopefully we can get this matter resolved. Actually I think that I will do that and wait until later in the week to call the lawyers and DA in Charlotte and get the legal balls rolling. But, rest assured, if I don't get my stolen equipment back VERY VERY SOON ... well ... ummm ... it would just be the best if Bam would be a man, show a bit of character, and do the right thing. Otherwise all hell is about to break loose ... it's just a matter of principle with me. If you know who has stolen from you ... you don't rest until you set things straight ... just like I considered it a matter of principle to defend Bam with every breath that I had ... from those that were accusing him of being a thief ... while he was in Atlantic Beach. (OH IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW ... I WOULDN'T HAVE DEFENDED BAM AND LOOKED NEARLY SO FOOLISH NOW !!!)

I will continue to post more info and notify more people (via mass and targeted email and search engines and such) until this matter is resolved and I get back what has been stolen from me. When I drove you back up to Raleigh Friday two weeks ago (4/7/06) you promised that you would call me as soon as you got back down to Charlotte on Saturday(4/8/06).  I agreed to let you use my most valuable piece of equipment (my digital multi-track recorder) until Thursday (4/14/06) when you sincerely promised to return it to me in Raleigh. You asked me if you could borrow it until Thursday in order to use it to remix some of your son's tracks and even though it was my most valuable piece of studio equipment I reluctantly agreed in order to help you and your son. I asked you to carry it on your person while traveling and not let it out of your sight until you returned it on Thursday and you said of course you would.

   I have not heard one word from you since that time. After calling Jay and your brother, I was told that you are now in Miami, Florida. What is the deal???? I can only hope that you are a man of your word and have simply failed to contact me for some personal reason and I sincerely hope that you would not plan to try and take the most valuable piece of equipment that I need to use to record my originals with.

UPDATE - 4/23/06 ... I just talked with your Brother Daryle and he said that you were in New Orleans. He did not know that I had just talked with Jay in New Orleans and Jay said that he had not heard from you and had no idea where you were.

   I presently have the cell phone records of every number and the location of that person that you called or that called you in the last five months ... owing to the fact that I gave you my second phone and paid for all your cell phone calls. The numbers of all your incoming and outgoing calls are on my bill. I also have the email addresses of every one that you emailed or that emailed you for the last 5 months since I set up all your web presence and email accounts in order to help you out.

    Anyway, I will do anything to try to help out a friend ... that is ... until I think that someone that I considered a friend and tried to help out tries to take what is mine when I lend it to them to help them and their family out.

   I can only hope that you have failed to contact me or return my equipment because of some severe personal situation. My cell phone number is the same as it always has been and you have that number. That being said ... If I do not hear from you and you do not return what is mine ... well, I will have to assume the worst and begin legal proceedings via my close relatives' law firms in Charlotte and Spartanburg. As I explained to you, I REALLY need that recorder in order to record my own originals.

   I will still try to contact you through the people whose numbers and email addresses are on my cell phone bills and email servers and Yahoo accounts. I will explain to them the serious nature of this matter and how reluctant I am to take the next step, which will be legal. I will do that for one week. After that week is up I will begin criminal proceedings in North and South Carolina in order to reclaim that which is mine. I dread doing that but I will if I am left no choice. It is simply a matter of honor and principle to me.

    Bam, You know that every word of this is true with no spin to it. Please return my equipment in order to save me the trouble of taking legal action and contacting your family and contacts via phone and email in order to get back what is mine. I may also be able to work out things with Michelle on your behalf so that she does not press charges on the other matters ... but time is short. You need to contact me ASAP !!! I can only hope that there is some mixup but, as time goes on, it is really looking worse and worse as to your intentions and principles.

   Along those same lines, if you are reading this and know Frankie "Bam" Myers from Pageland SC or Charlotte NC and have any knowledge of his present whereabouts, I would sincerely appreciate you passing this message on to him as he has made no attempt to contact me or return my equipment since I dropped him off in Raleigh on Friday (4/7/06). Tell him that he needs to contact me ASAP so that I do not have to begin legal proceedings to recover what is mine. I will also post this site on multiple domains, register it with every search engine, and send emails to every one of Bam's and my contacts and others with a link to this site. I really regret having to do this but Bam has disappeared with my most valuable piece of equipment and has not avoided contacting me in the two weeks since I dropped him off in Raleigh. He has my cell phone number. I hope that he will do what is right and honorable and return my equipment but it is looking more and more like that is not the case as the weeks go by. It has reached the point now that I simply have to do what I have to do. This is a very serious matter and a matter of honor and principle with me.

   Also ... any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. If anyone can let me know what is going on and/or Bam's whereabouts please send me an email at the following email address ... There will be a nice reward if he is captured because of your tip(s).
